History

History

1964

The company - back then named "Dramaliotis" - starts participating in public infrastructure projects - mainly in the fields of irrigation and water management. The company soon enjoys significant success, growing rapidly.

1988

Within the framework of a long-term investment program, an industrial complex is constructed in an area measuring 120 acres. The complex includes enclosed areas totalling 12,000 square meters, housing production and assembling units, sheet metal facilities, turneries machining shop, workshops for electric and electronic constructions, testing facilities and storerooms.

2006

Poseidon undertakes the construction of its first small hydropower plant "SHPP Smokovo" of total power 11,0 MW marking a new era in its history.

1953

Taxiarchis Dramaliotis founded  a small mechanical workshop in Farsala, a small agricultural town in central Greece, installing and repairing irrigation pumps

1986

"Dramaliotis" now continuously growing and numbering more than 110 employees is incorporated in the "Dramaliotis Group" and acquires among other companies "POSEIDON SA" specialised in hydraulic projects.

1990

Ioannis V. Sanoudos joins the company as Head of the Technical Department. Through his guidance Poseidon specializes and develops significant know-how in the field of hydraulic mechanical engineering.
At the same time Poseidon is merged with the parent company.

Smokovo Hydropower Plant

2015

I.Sanoudos becomes CEO of the company. Poseidon Hydropower begins an extensive R&D program on Hydraulic turbines and Hydromechanical equipment while at the same time the company expands its markets in more than 20 countries.

Our large industrial unit in Central Greece, enables us to produce a great deal of the equipment that is incorporated in the works it constructs.

This constitutes both a special characteristic and a core advantage of the company, offering flexibility, controlled quality, and speed of construction.

All production units are equipped with the latest machinery covering several areas of production, such as:

  • Cutting and shaping of metal sheets

  • Manufacturing

  • Assembling and welding

  • Dyes and protective surface coatings

  • Construction of electric panels and remote-control systems.
